Howells are committed to ensuring all functionality and all content is accessible to all our Users.
Our ongoing accessibility effort works towards conforming to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) version 2.2, level AA criteria. These guidelines not only help make web content accessible to users with sensory, cognitive and mobility disabilities, but ultimately to all users, regardless of ability.
Our ongoing accessibility efforts work toward making Sharehub and Insiderhub as accessible as possible. Howells welcomes comments on how to improve our systems accessibility for users with disabilities.

- At Howells, we recognise the importance of diversity and endeavour to remove barriers to ensure equal opportunities for all individuals, including those with disabilities or physical or mental health conditions. We are committed to fostering an inclusive and accessible workplace environment where all employees and visitors feel valued, respected, and supported. This Workplace Accessibility Policy outlines our commitment to accessibility and the steps we take to accommodate the needs of individuals with disabilities.
- This policy applies to all prospective or current employees of the company, aswell as visitors or contractors, clients and users of our services and software who have a disability of any kind that restricts them in various ways.
- Howells is committed to providing equal opportunities for individuals with disabilities
- In all aspects of employment, including recruitment, hiring, training and promotion;
- We will make reasonable accommodations to enable individuals with disabilities to fulfil essential job duties, participate in meetings, training sessions, and access our facilities and services with ease;

- We offer access to mental health resources through Howells’ intranet and access to online counselling and GP support lines via our Sage Employee Benefits platform
- Our offices have accessible facilities on the ground floor for individuals with disabilities and endeavour to make any reasonable adjustments necessary to ensure their safe navigation through our premises
- We promote a culture of open communication and encourage feedback from employees, visitors, and clients on any accessibility issues and will endeavour to promptly address any concerns identified
- Responsibilities
- Management is responsible for implementing and enforcing this Workplace Accessibility Policy, providing necessary resources, and fostering a culture of inclusion and accessibility.
- All employees are expected to support the objectives of this policy, respect the needs of individuals with disabilities, and actively participate in creating an inclusive workplace environment.
- The HR Manager will oversee compliance with this policy, coordinate accommodation requests, and serve as a point of contact for employees, visitors, and customers with disabilities. The policy will be reviewed periodically to ensure its effectiveness and compliance with relevant laws and regulations. Adjustments will be made as necessary to address changing needs and circumstances.
- Non-compliance with this policy may result in disciplinary action, up to and including termination of employment or termination of contract.
